Busy, Busy, Busy!!!!

We had Jeff's Christmas party yesterday. It was a lot of fun, but kinda long. Sophy got awfully cranky by the end because it was during nap time. We made sure we got her a nap when we got home, that helped her mood quite a bit. Before the party we took Sophy to see Santa at Northpark Mall. For those of you who haven't taken their kiddos to see Santa I highly recommend going there. The santa was really nice and had a real beard and everything. The best part? There was little to no line! I took Sophy there last year and it went very well. This year however as soon as we went to hand her to santa she started screaming and continued screaming until her daddy got her. We ended up taking a family picture, it was the best we could manage with her dislike of santa. Maybe we can get a beter picture next year with her baby sister!
We had our Ultrasound today! It was very exciting to see the new baby! She is 100% girl! There was absolutely no question about that. Even I could tell and I'm not too good at those things. She looks a lot like Sophy, same head shape and chubby cheeks, but she has a pointy nose compared to Sophy. I am really excited now to see what she looks like for real. Jeff also got to see her for the first time. It's amazing how real it all became today. I have had 4 ultrasounds, but this one was different. At this one they counted legs, arms, fingers, organs, and a whole lot of other stuff. She was sucking her fingers and moving a lot. She did a complete 180 during the course of the scan. She is completely healthy and has all the apropriate organs and limbs. That's always nice to know. She didn't like us to look at her face or profile and kinda annoyed us a little with that one, but it just gave us a taste of her personality.
Here's what baby center says about 19 weeks: Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces, and he measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the length of a small zucchini. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine, and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. This is a crucial time for sensory development: Your baby's brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. If your baby is a girl, she has an astonishing six million eggs in her ovaries. They'll dwindle to fewer than two million by the time she's born.
