Ice and baby news.

We have been snowed in for so long! On friday the freezing rain and sleet started. It came and went until monday. By monday the freezing stuff stopped, but the damage was done. We have yet to get above freezing. It's supposed to get to 33 degress today for a couple hours and tommorrow we are supposed to get to 40 degrees. It would be happy and helpful if it wasn't for the fact that they are now prediciting 2-4 inches of snow for this wekend. So it's still going to be yucky for a while longer. We did make it out for a trip to the store and yesterday the wonderful Jessica helped me get to my ob visit and then came over to let the kids play! Sophy needed a good day of play to wear her out. She actually slept all night long and we had to wake her up this morning! Yea! Jeff got his new game expansion and he's been enjoying playing ever since, well after work that is.
My doctor visit went really well. I finally gained some weight so my doctor was happy. The baby looks good. I have to do the glucose test next time I go in, but it'll be ok. I'm carring very low so it's a little uncomfortable. I'm officially 24 weeks so I'm almost finished with my second trimester! We also set our c-section date. May 3rd. So as long as nothing happens (I go into labor or my water breaks early) I'll have a baby May 3rd. It's a thursday so hopefully I'll be home by the weekend and able to recieve visitors. It's kinda weird, because it makes it so much more real.
Here's what baby center says about the baby: Your baby's growing steadily, gaining about a quarter of a pound since last week, when she was just over a pound. Since she's almost a foot long, that makes a pretty lean figure, but her body is filling out proportionally and she'll soon put on more baby fat. Your baby's skin is thin, translucent, and wrinkled, her brain is growing rapidly, and her taste buds are developing. Her lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" and cells that produce surfactant, a substance that helps the air sacs inflate easily.

She's getting so big... she looks like a toddler for sure now.
