Costume Portraits
Here are the official Portraits of the girls in their Halloween costumes. Sophy LOVES hers. She is super cute whenever she wears it. She LOVES Mickey Mouse! If you would like a copy of one or all of these pictures please email me or comment with which one(s) and I'll do my best to get it to you.
Lola is 6 months old now! Can you believe it? At her 6 month check up she was 25th% in weight, 50th% in Height, and 75th% in Head! She can now sit up on her own, for short periods of time at least. She can flip over from front to back and vice versa. To top off the list she has started scooting, the pre-runner of crawling. She will be up and crawling before I know it! What happened to my tiny lump of a baby?
Sophy is now 27 months old or 2 and 1/4 years old. She can now count to 16 (20 with help) and say her ABCs all by herself. She can sing Twinkle Twinkle, Little Einsteins theme, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. We are now working on spelling her name. She speaks very clearly...at least if you are her mother and hear her talk all the time you would think so.
Coming tomorrow: Sneak Peak at the Curtis Maternity Photo shoot!

Sneak Peak
Here is a sneak peak from a Photo shoot I did on Thursday Night. She was So awake and alert! Mommy and Daddy were so very proud! I can see why they would be. It was my first chance to get to use my new lights on location and they sure did turn out really well.
This was just one of many photo shoots I had this week. I had a total of 5 since last Saturday! It's nice to work, but I wish it would spread itself out a little more. I have a big Christmas Shoot at the house next weekend which is starting to fill up. I have baby Santa hats and all kinds of fun setups for it. I can't wait! Maybe if I'm lucky this cute baby will show up!

NaBloPoMo
So I've known for a while that it was national write a novel month in November because I have SEVERAL friends who are busy writing a book and NOT blogging this month. So imagine my surprise when I read over my friends blogs yesterday and found out it's also national write a page a day on your blog month! Ok I'm not a writer as anyone who reads this knows, so I'm not writing a book this month. I wish I was though. I wish I Could write well and get what I want to say onto paper. I actually opened up Word and thought about writing a book for like 3 seconds yesterday. I'm very sad to miss out on such a neat concept! So when I hear I could write a page a day in November on my blog...now hat's something I CAN do! I have SO much going on this month and i can space out telling you about things. So lets see if I can do a page a day.....
Here is a few pictures from Halloween. We trick or treated at the mall during the day with Trish and Annabelle and that night at home with Daddy. Yes that's Lola sacked out at teh mall. Her costume was warm and being held by mommy made her sleepy! Sophy LOVED Halloween this year. She would knock on the door, and hopefully say 'trick or treat' it usually came out "I want candy". They would show her a bowl of candy and she'd dig around and pick out two pieces that were the same. one she'd put into her bag and the other she'd put in Lola's bag. It was so cute to see her share and want to help out her sister. She always said 'thank you' and got rather insistent about it if someone didn't respond with 'your welcome'. We treated early since she's little and I didn't want to be run over by teens or have a tired toddler. Once we got home we passed out candy. Sophy LOVED to pass out the candy and always made sure to say 'your welcome' after they said 'thank you'.

I am getting low on appointment slots so I thought I'd remind everyone that the Christmas Limited is Next weekend. As in a week from tomorrow! I know it's early to be thinking about Christmas, but if you want your pictures back by Christmas it's best to order sooner rather than later! The current special is: For a friend who makes an appointment you'll get 10%off...for EACH friend. If you get 10 friends to come your package is free! Give me a call to make an appointment. Just make sure your friends mention your name when calling! Hope to see you there!
(sidenote: I hope to post an Halloween update on the girls soon. Please be patient!)

What a BIG girl!
Nana and Papa got Sophy this fun Tricycle. It took a while to find the classic one without the plastic seat, but find it she did! It came today and Jeff spent some time putting it together. It is a little big still so She has some trouble reaching the pedals, but she is SO close. By the time she figures out what they are for she'll be the right size. At least I know it'll last for a long time! She loves it. It even came with a bell that she rings constantly!

Big Girl!
My baby started Preschool yesterday! I can't believe it! She was so happy and marched right into her class. At least until she tripped, then she didn't want me to go. Her teachers said she did really well and was very good. She sure had a lot to show me and tell me when I picked her up. It was very nice to be able to run my photo shoot errands with only the baby. They sure went a lot faster! I think I have almost everything I need now! Pumpkin crop has messed up some plans, but I think I worked it out. I'm getting very excited about this weekend now!
(The first picture is her with her backpack ready to go into school. She was very excited about the playground and didn't really want ot stand still for her picture! The second was right before I left. She was still upset. How could you leave a face like that?)

Well It's less than a week until the Fall Mini-Session now! I am currently looking for Pumpkins and getting everything ready. If anyone knows of a good Church pumpkin patch please let me know. Also anyone who wants to participate and hasn't scheduled their slot yet needs to call me ASAP 405-639-9950. The weather forecast for next weekend looks great! I'm starting to get excited.
My friends are all going to have babies and there is one coming tomorrow! I can't wait because I get to do his New Baby Photo Shoot! The parents are so nice and I look forward to meeting the little guy and documenting these special memories. I got to do a Bridal shoot last week and it went GREAT! Lola's Portrait session
Family Update
There has been a request for me to update on the family. So....
Jeff is doing well. He is very busy at work right now and comes home tired most days. Lots of time is spent trying to recoup from the workday before heading in to work the next morning. It's just that time of year for his work I guess. I am doing great! The business is doing well. It's not skyrocketing off or anything, but it has steady growth. I was interviewed for an article int he Oklahoman and it has brought in some jobs for me. I feel like I'm constantly behind on my housework now that I'm working more, but it's nice to be productive! I also got my acceptance letter from UCO yesterday! I'm looking forward to starting the process of enrollment now! Sophy is a two year old! She acts like one. She is always into stuff and making messes and asking "what's that". She is also REALLY funny right now. She love to put on my heels and walk around the house in them. She also loves to "help" with her sister. She got into Sonshine school and will be starting next week! I'm so excited for her to have this time to socialize and play with kids her age. She's been potty training and although she does well for her age I feel like we've hit a wall so it'll be nice for her to see other kids her age that are potty trained to help that along. Lola is just as cute as ever! She's happy and content most the time. She is teething some which gives us problems at night, but other than that she is a joy!
That is the update on the family. The picture of Sophy is from the Dalton's house when she decided she need to wear a hat...can you believe my two year old has already figured out how to roll her eyes at me! Man the teen years aren't going to be fun! The other picture is Jeff and Lola. She was being cute today so I quickly grabbed my camera and snapped a picture!

My new adventure!
As many of you already know I have been in the process of updating my portfolio and restarting up my business. There have been some really exciting things happening along these lines. My Portfolio is looking great! I just need a few pictures. I need to up my Bridal portraits in my Portfolio and I need more maternity and New-baby portraits. In this mind I am asking all my friends that live in the area and still fit into their wedding dress (I don't so don't feel bad if not!) and are willing to dress up for a day and get some shots taken! Since this is just helping me out I'm not charging you anything, but it might be hot uncomfortable work and you're not getting paid. Hey it's an excuse to wear your dress though. If you are interested I need to know your head piece (tiara, veil, hat, none etc.) and I need to know your train length (demi, chapel, cathedral, or none) . I also need to know when you are available. I plan on doing shoots at the Will Rogers Gardens, Capitol Building, and a few other places. If you have any great ideas on a location feel free to pitch in your two cents. Along this line if you want your maternity shots done by me let me know and I'll arrange for it. I only do Location shoots at this time which means no studio shots. I like it better this way because the portraits turn out more personal.
Along these lines I'm also planning a fund raiser event to help me raise the startup so my family doesn't suffer for this venture. I'm planning on having a day in Sept. when you can bring your child to a location and get a small fall themed package for only $10. You will receive an 8x10, 5x7, 2 3.5x5, and 8 wallets. You can bring your child in costume or just dressed in a cute fall outfit. You'll get to choose one pose and the pictures will be ready in about a week. Theres even talk of having Photo cards available through Photocard Cafe (see link to the left). Please let me know if you are interested in signing up for this one day limited event!
I am looking forward to all the new things that are happening in my life and the speed of which it is all coming together. I hope to have a new Photography site up and running in no time! In the mean time I appreciate everyones help and encouragement as well as the many prayers that have gone up about all of this.

For the last two years I have been back and forth on a particular issue. that of Piercing my child's ears. Certain family members were all for it, while others were totally against it. It amazed me how few people didn't care one way or the other. I saw points for doing it while they were little and I saw great reasons for waiting. Trish pierced Annabelle's ears last weekend. She brought up the subject about a month ago while we were in Tulsa. It made me think about it all over again. I decided at that time the same thing I always thought- I'd love to do it, but it costs too much. So I didn't. Well I finally made up my mind, again. And this time I did something about it. My babies now have a couple extra holes each. What changed things so suddenly? I found out that Wal-mart does Ear piercing! Same exact way they do it everywhere else only cheaper! Woo Hoo! So I picked out some cute little 3 mm balls and got it done. We did Sophy first and she didn't even cry! They had two people so both ears were done at once. She barely jumped! I was so proud of my big girl. Lola cried a lot, but mostly because it scared her I think. She had to have hers done one ear at a time. She calmed down quickly and as soon as I put her in her car seat she was asleep! I'm now glad I had it done and that I didn't spend a fortune on it! I just wish I new about this when Sophy was little! I did it as a surprise for Jeff so I wonder how long till he notices.....
* Edit* Jeff noticed about 5 minutes after he hugged the girls. He noticed Lola's first. it is a little easier to see without all the hair.

Lola Portraits
I went to get Lola's 3 month portraits done about a week ago. It takes 3 weeks to get those pictures because I went to a different studio to have them done then the one I went to for Sophy's. Since I can't post her three month pictures I'll post her one and two month ones instead. I forgot to post them back when I got them so I apologize for the wait. For those of you that normally get photos from me you'll be getting copies of these and Sophy's in the next week or two. as soon as I get around to putting them in envelopes! Enjoy the cuteness!
One Month Pictures: (the 1st and 2nd pictures shown)
I didn't put Sophy in any of her Portraits for this month. The poor girl should have a FEW pictures just for her!
Second Month Portraits: (the 3rd-6th pictures shown)
I just LOVE Fourth of July Portraits! They always look so Patriotic! I think I'll get these done for the girls each year if I can. I got Lola's individual pictures, but I had to get some of them together in their cute 4th outfits!

Sophy's 2 year Portraits!
I went to have Sophy's Portraits done today. I'm still really sore, but Trish came a long to help and at least it is finished. They turned out REALLY good. It was very difficult to choose which ones to get. I'm posting the ones I DIDN'T buy on here so that you can be surprised when I show you the actual pictures later. I am potty training Sophy. I know it's a lot to have going on right now, but I took that on before I got hurt so now I need to finish it! She is actually doing really well for a girl her age. She'll go on the potty almost every time I put her on it, but she still goes in her pants in between. If anyone has any WONDERFUL ideas for a two year old potty training let me know. As far as our health we are doing well. The black cloud of Bad luck still hovers over the house. Yes that's right, we had ANOTHER accident! I was washing clothes this morning as Sophy was being naughty and playing next to me. She isn't allowed in the laundry room (she likes to eat the dog food and play in the water dish) so I was telling her to go back tot he kitchen. She didn't like this and started yelling "No, Mama" and backed into the Dryer. Our dryer is a little off balance so this caused it to rock a little. No big deal right? Wrong. Did I forget to mention that I had been Ironing her dresses right before this. I was bending over to get some dirty laundry (a feat in itself due to my ribs) and the iron fell off the dryer and onto my neck and shoulder. Luckily it was me and NOT Sophy or Lola. My hair protected my neck so I now have a big ugly burn on my shoulder! At least I had turned it off already and it was cooling down. I had it on the cotton setting so it would have been REALLY bad if it was still on. So it's official- Jeff took all our luck with him when he left town! I just hope he brings it back with him!
